Easter Sunday 2008

We had an egg-cellent time with our little family on Easter.

We had fun coloring easter eggs. Daddy taught Kaitlyn to be soft and gentle with the eggs so they wouldn't crack. She remembered most of the time. In the end about every other other egg she picked up had a few cracks in them.
Kaitlyn hunted for easter eggs and Jazzie tasting her first peep.

Opposites

Jasmine's high chair tray doesn't like to stay put. Every once in a while it clicks out and falls down. Kaitlyn's when Kaitlyn's tray clicked out she would let it crash to the ground. Jazzie likes to hold on until Mommy comes to the rescue. Just one of the many ways these sisters are so different.

& We're Back

Here is a picture of our sweet little girl in her hospital bed and primary children's.
What a crazy couple of weeks it has been. It happened so fast, one second she was fine the next second she was running a fever 103.7 so we took her to the insta care near our house. The Doctor didn't like the way she was breathing so fast. (Like she had just finished running a marathon.) He informed me that she needed more care than they could provide for her and that I needed to take her directly to Primary Children's Hospital. He called ahead and informed them that we were on our way so when I got there 15 minutes later they were ready and waiting for her. Long story short, we were there for a day a night and a day while they tried to find out why here breathing was so irregular and why she wouldn't eat.

Brain Temporrarily Closed (Due to Sleep Deprivation)

Jazzie is teething and it has been a rough couple of nights. My brother-in-law is visiting and he suggested we try a teething gell that his wife used when their babies were teething. We tried it last night for the first time and it worked a miracle. My sweet little baby woke only once last night. Actually, she woke up early this morning around 4:2o and I was able to get 5 straight hours of sleep before she woke up. It felt so good to sleep for a few hours without interuption. She was up for 30 minutes before she fell back to sleep so I was able to get 3 more hours of bliss. The best thing about getting a good night sleep is that my brain seems to be working again. I am remembering things like phone numbers, and recall words I want to say. I was told that my brain would return when I got enough sleep and it did. I hope this becomes a regular habit. (The sleeping part, not the teething gel.) Here are a few pics of the funny faces she has been making since she started teething.

Falling Water

Kaitlyn's new favorite past time is washing hands. I bought her a little step stool so she can reach the sink in the bathroom. She will play in the water all day long if Mommy would let her. The other day while we were out she stepped in a pile of wet sand and her shoes were covered in yuck. Yesterday, I walked into the bathroom and saw this and couldn't resist taking this photo.
