Food, Food, and more Food

Two weeks ago a Cafe Rio opened up down the street from my house. I love, love, love the beef and black bean burrito. I just can't get enough of this scrumptious chow. It is super large and so it takes me three rations to devour the whole meal. I just placed a take out order online (so cool) and my wonderful hubby is going to bring it home to me. I am so blessed.

Valentines Day

We had a little family Valentine's Day party. Mostly consisting of tickles and giggles.

Jasmine wouldn't stop giggling and making funny faces.

Jazzie started crawling last week. She is fearless and will travel on all surfaces carpet, hardwood, tile, gravel. If she wants to make it there she'll get there. Wherever there is.

My Sweet Little Babies!

This is Kaitlyn meeting Baby Jasmine for the first time.
She looked at her and signed "baby".
This is in the car on the way home from the hospital. Life happens so fast. I can't believe I am the mother of these two beautiful babies.
Kaitlyn adores her new little sister. She is always kissing and loving on her. I have to keep my eye on her or she will literally smother her with kisses.

Dive in Already!

I created this blog days ago (uh, maybe even weeks), and I have yet to create a post. Since its creation there have been many interesting occurrences, and with each one I have declared to my husband that I was going to post my observations about it on our blog.

It has been a little like the feeling I had at my sister's St. Patrick's Day party. I remember I got in free at the Oregon City swimming pool because I had the color green on my swimming suit. At the age of 10, swimming was my favorite activity, and I felt so lucky that mom made my big sister invite me to the pool party.

My sister and her friends were a year ahead of me in swim class - they were skilled sharks and I was a less-experienced dolphin. Sharks were allowed to jump off the high dive, but dolphins were confined to the low dive until they graduated to shark status.

I was standing in line to jump off the low dive for the second time when one of the girls invited me to jump off the high dive. I remember climbing up the ladder in anticipation and feeling the fluttering of butterflies in my tummy as I walked to the end of the diving board. I am not sure how long I stood there looking down. The glittering water was sooooooo much farther away than I expected.

As I approached the end of the diving board, the butterflies fluttering in my tummy had evolved into raging bats. I realized that I could not turn around and go back down the steps without serious consequences of social demise. I swallowed the lump that had grown in my throat, took a deep breath and jumped…
