Water Balloons and Snails. Who Let the Boys Out?

During their last visit the girls had so much fun with Rocky and Connor and their Uncle Brian.

The girls were playing quietly with their balloons. They kept asking us to blow them up over and over again. Suddenly someone had the great idea to fill them with water. These pictures show some of the results. Fun was had by everyone. We were so sad to seem them leave. please come back soon!

Ewe Jazzie! Put that down! I can't believe she loves to pick up those snails.

Connor is so good with babies, especially Hailey.

Easter 2009

Kaitlyn's birthday was the same day as Easter this year. So to make things simple we decided to celebrate Kaitlyn's birthday and save the easter celebration for the next Sunday. It worked out great we were able to focus on the Birthday one week and the significance of easter the next and
the girls didn't know any different.

I love the look here on Jasmine's face when she finds what the Easter Bunny did in the back yard.

That Bunny is not stuffed with Chocolate.

Kaitlyn's first Peep. Jasmine wouldn't eat hers because she that we said poop instead of peep.

The hunt begins.

Digging in.

Kaitilyn Turns Three?

"time passed away…and also our lives passed away like as it were unto us a dream."
Kaitlyn's birthday was also the same day as Easter. Here she is in her Easter/Birthday dress. We decided to celebrate her birthday and save Easter for the following Sunday so that we could focus on one important celebration at a time. (also it made things easier for the mom)

Instead of a cake Kaitlyn desired purple cupcakes for the celebration. For several days prior to the big day she couldn't stop talking about her birthday and informed me as well as everyone she came in contact with that I was going to make her purple cupcakes.
After singing at the top of our lungs she attempted to blow out the candles she got a little to close after several attempts and things got a little hot on her lips so.. she requested a little help from from mommy. Mommy tried twice and and needed help from Jazzie. Between the three of us we managed to blow the tiny little flame out.

They were so yummy!
After cupcakes and singing it was time for presents.

She recieved a lot of them.
The hit of them all...was a card from Alyssa. It was the Little Mermaid singing card she played with for hours. For days after she would walk around the house with the card and sing "part of your world"at the top of her lungs.
Here we all are singing with Ariel. Jazzie would harmonize with us (well, sort of)

Tony's parents were there to celebrate with us. It made for a great family party.

I think the best gift was having Grandma and Grandpa there.

Kaitlyn loved having the cards read to her. She called them her books.

Kaitlyn was so sweet she wanted to play with every gift and made sure to say thank you after each one. She opened each gift very carefully, well, most of them anyway.

Grandma and Grandpa brought presents for all the girls.

After a long day of church, cake and presents it was time to play with the balloons that had fallen to the ground. Earlier that morning Kaitlyn helped mommy blow them up with the little helium tank we got at Target. I didn't get any pictures of it because I planned to have the house decorated before she got up that morning. She caught me in the act and wanted to help. It was so fun to create that memory together.

It is hard to remember what life was like before kids it really does seem like another lifetime. I feel so blessed to have my precious little girls, I am delighted that I have the joy of watching them grow and progress a little more each day. These little girls really are my everything!

Happy Birthday my sweet KaeKee.
